A 63 year old Montreal man says he may have been the victim of racial and anti anglo slurs and beaten up and sent to hospital as a result.
Shamslla Bina told CJAD 800 News he was on his way home late Sunday afternoon from the de l'Eglise metro, when he told a young man in English not to press up so close to him on the escalator. Bina said the young man was with two other men and two women. Bina said the young man told him to go back to Ontario and to his own country. Bina, who came to Montreal from Iran 30 years ago, switched to French, the language he uses the most, and the dispute continued onto the street.
Bina said the three young men caught up with him a few blocks away and attacked him, hitting him in the face and head and then kicking him when he fell. Bina said they left but came back minutes later and started kicking him again while he was still lying on the ground.
Hydel Condes was working nearby at the time and saw part of the attack and one of the suspects.
"He saw something on the street, he took it and punched the old guy in the face," Condes said.
"After that,hogan outlet, the old guy sat down there,mens nike air max, full of blood and I called 9 1 1."
Bina suffered a cut above his eye that had to be stitched up along with several bruises and cuts on his face and head; his lung was bruised because of a kick to his side. Bina said doctors told him he may be released in a day or two,hogan rebel online.
Bina said language or his Iranian background may have been the motives behind the taunting and the attack which occurred on his birthday,tn site officiel.
"I don't know why, I don't understand. (It was) for nothing," Bina said.
Police said almost right after the attack, they arrested one of the three suspects,nike air max 87, a 23 year old man facing four charges including assault causing bodliy harm. The other two are still being sought.

I am so sick of hearing about young people beating people up because of the language they speak or because of what they are. It has happened once too often and it seems no one seems to care enough to do something about it. You do all realize it is a form of discrimination and last I heard that was still not right, or it is against the law to discriminate for ANY reason. This language garbage has caused more problems then people are willing to admit. I will always only speak English in public, in a store,womens nike air max, on the streets, or any where else I want to. Honestly I am a minority member and an Anglophone and I refuse to be forced or bullied into doing anything I don't want to. It's fun to find a scapegoat, I know. Especially if it furthers your own agenda. Back in '95, when I was all of 13, living in Ville Saint Laurent, It'd routinely be sneered at and intimidated for speaking French,black nike air max, and having a French surname. I had beer bottles thrown at my friends and I on election night. I've had my tires slashed and some nasty grafiti on my windshield because of the Quebec Flag hanging from my balcony.
The point is assholes transcend language lines. It's not political affiliation or mother tongue that dictates the propensity of people to be douchebags. These people didn't pull this shit on me because they're anglophones or whatnot,air max 90, they did it because they're assholes,
As long as you continue making these sorts of distinctions along language lines and based on political affiliation, you're part of the problem, not the solution.
Unfortunately the politics in this province has given the Green light for this type of thing. They have shown its OK to discriminate as they have placed actual laws that promote discrimination. So how can you blame these idiots? Now with Marois in power,nike air max, they feel its Ok to bring it to the streets now. Marois doesnt realize she is fueling the youth with a terrible sense of righteousness, backed with violence. Its only going to get worse, and will take years to subdue or even get things back to a civil calm. Already there are signs of these attitudes in Ontario, and they will ruin the fabric of yet another great Province. I hope people will come to their senses and stop this disease.
I am sorry for Mr. Bina, no one should lay a finger on anyone else.
I do not agree that this is about race or language. I believe that these 4 people got pissed at Bina because he was being rude and a bigot himself. Why tell some to "to go back to Ontario and to his own country" why not just say that he doesn't speak English? that would have solved it. instead he was rude and got beaten for it,hogan outlet serravalle.
Even his comments "to go back to Ontario and to his own country" is so stupid it hurts,nike air max 90, just because they are speaking English they are from Ontario? hell, guess what Mr. Bina, Quebec and Ontario ARE A PART OF THE SAME COUNTRY!.
I hope they find these 4 and press charges on them, and I hope that this has opened Mr. One has to be ignorant of Canadian history {like our Supreme Court} to say such nonsense. READ THE TREATIES! Here's a sample:
